Welcome to Still Waters Manufacturing We are so glad you stopped in to learn a bit about us! We are all about manufacturing because frankly we love manufacturing! Our customers are developers of critical infrastructure in the industrial truck and agriculture industries. We don't aspire to have hundreds of customers rather we work with a few really great partners that are doing truly great work. We are doing business in the United States of America. While the reality is that so much comes from a global supply chain we believe and work hard to be competitive building the equipment that is critical our economy and society. Custom Manufacture Your customer is buying a product from you and they want it to be right. Perhaps it was a service kit being sent out for annual maintenance. Maybe you need replacement hydraulic hoses. Your product started as a small machine and after a few design iterations it is really a series of major assemblies. Manufacturing can become complex quickly. What started as the kit became a few people constantly behind trying to keep up. A few people building replacement hoses becomes a department of many people doing a process that is quite tedious. A large product with some major assemblies morphed into a room full of disconnected processes and no clear flow. Our job is to learn your product and then lead the change to how your product is assembled. We are good at identifying critical process steps and ensuring those aren't negatively affected while at the same time finding ways to improve the assembly method. The result for you if a customized manufacturing flow that will deliver a high quality product and scale to meet the rising demand. Assembly You are a professional at designing the next great product in your industry. Perhaps your engineering and agriculture background meld to help you see the next level of automation. Your passion for robotics has developed an amazing tool that we redefine whole industries. However, you are getting stuck building the prototypes and are unable to break free and focus on designs. In order to scale you are being asked about work instructions, assembly methods, training documents, jigs, fixtures, and the list goes on. Let us help! We are professionals at manufacturing . We use time tested simple processes that produce high quality results. Our team has an eye for jigs, fixtures, methods, and process controls that turn a basement project into a "Ford Line". We excel at putting the right tool for the job in place. Supply Chain You have designed a great product but now you are tripping over a series of steps such as finding a machine shop or powder coater, figuring out material requirements and then issuing orders, reviewing incoming quality and validating part fit, working with suppliers on schedules and timelines. We can help. We have relationships with a number of partners that can provide the components you need and we are willing to work with suppliers you have already developed. We will work with the data you have or we can take a built product and reverse engineer the component list. Once we have a bill of materials we can calculate demand requirements and help get all the parts needed to deliver your build of 1, 10, 50, 100 of your great product. We believe serving our customers needs means sometimes doing some jobs that aren't glamourous or may even be outside our core business. Logistics, field repairs, or thigns not on our list are all fair game if it makes sense.
- About | Still Waters MFG
30 years of MFG Housed in the old Coal Creek school, we are a 30 year old business. In 1990 Progressive Enterprises was founded building a variety of kits and assemblies. Over the next 15 years the business grew as it served industrial machinery markets. In the late 2000s offshoring of manufacturing took its toll on many businesses including this one, contracting the size of the business to nearly half. In hindsight, many businesses were not able to weather this activity in the United States. With sound leadership from Robert Warnick the business focused on delighting customers and expanding its services. Located in rural Indiana, this business prides itself in being close to agriculture roots. The fields that once were playgrounds and football fields are now productive alfalfa fields, connecting us to the farming community around us. Still Waters Manufacturing In 2022 Progressive Enterprises was purchased by Jake and Kindra Church. With 18 years of manufacturing experience Jake brings a vision for best practices in manufacturing to the 32 years that Progressive has served its customers. The purchase gave us an opportunity to update the name of the business and recognize the new challenges that face businesses today. Psalm 23 says, "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He leads me beside still waters , He restores my soul." We make no secret that it has been the Lord's leading that go Jake and Kindra from Lewiston Idaho to New Richmond Indiana in a position of owning this business. With the Lord's leading we desire that this business would be still waters amid a complex and challenging manufacturing environment. We are "Great people, always simplifying". 30 years of manufacturing experience resulted in the best of this business is good people that work in it. We have simple computer systems, processes, and work environments. Such simplicity is a good foundation for serving customers and solving problems. Call (765) 307 - 6403 Email jake@stillwatersmfg.com

- Robotic Sprayers | Still Waters MFG
SOLIX Robotic Sprayers In 2023 we announced that Still Waters Manufacturing would be partnering with Solinftec to build their autonomous robotic weed sprayers. That project was a success!! We built 30 robots, bringing the total number of robotic weed sprayers in the US to over 50. In the 2024 season Solinftec robots were successful in driving an 80% reduction in weed sprays for fields they were working in. Now we are back for the next season building robots that will go to the field making a further dent in helping farmers be more effective. On the manufacturing side we have taken several steps to make the process better through new jigs and fixturing, a customized trailer to haul robots, and refined inventory management processes. Coal Creek Central School gets a new job The old Gym at Coal Creek saw a lot of basketball games in its day! So many of the people in this area have vivid memories of their high school years and the fun they had at the school. A year ago this building was able to transition to being the US manufacturing location for the Solix sprayer robots. Heck, 30 years ago the building had become a simple hay barn and now the robot work has put new life into the building enabling new paint, new lighting, and giving purpose to a building that has had a long history of purpose.
